Inspired by Rob Ryan, during his stay here as Artist in Residence, I created this, my first ever papercut!
Rob has kindly turned these into a screen for me to share with you.
Those of you familiar with the Mill will recognise Maahes the cat, the Art Deco doors of our ceramic & printmaking Studio, and the gold velvet chair. Found at a recycling centre over a year ago, I put it in the studio, where it awaits a trip to the upholsterers. This summer, it has become a beloved place of ‘pause’ for artists and potters taking a break with a cuppa or a beer and enjoying the view.
I'm not sure it will ever make it to the upholstery shop!
