The Mill France has launched its annual rolling Co Living for Creatives 4 week program.
An opportunity for individual creatives, artist collectives and collaborators to come together to work on their projects.
The unique venue and the landscape it sits in, will undoubtedly inspire, allowing your creativity and imagination to flow.
Removed from distractions of everyday life, it is an immersive opportunity to develop new ideas and be devoted solely to cultivating your own artistic projects.
About the programme
This residency will appeal to ceramicists, artists, writers, poets, choreographers, photographers, musicians, thespians, comedians
All residents will have access to:
The 120sqm Ceramic & Print Art studio
Electric & gas-fired Raku Kiln*
Albion Royal printing press
The Flour Store - Our dedicated exhibition/performance/event studio (110sqm)
Writing desks in all rooms and communal spaces
Yoga mats
Bicycles
Ample outside space to draw/paint
River swims on the doorstep, for the daily dip!
Outdoor bath and showers
Plethora of local hikes with inspiring landscape and picturesque villages
Applications
There are 6 single occupancy rooms.
Most rooms share WC & Shower room with one other guest.
Everyone has access to the large communal kitchen on the ground floor, as well as the salon reception room (with projector), and library room on the first floor. The entire Mill has a floor space of over 1,000 sq mtrs and two acres of beautiful land – so plenty of room for everyone. View available rooms and book below.
Eating and local amenities
Once a week your host and fellow Artist Nathalie, will cook up a communal feast!
Day to day, you have the choice to cook together in the shared kitchen or eat as you wish. The local village is a 5-minute walk where there is also a boulangerie, lunchtime restaurant and a shop. The large supermarket is a 5-minute drive and the town of Millau is a 10-minute drive. There are regular buses and a train 3 times a day into MIllau. Nathalie does a once a week super market run and there is a very authentic traditional producers market in Millau every Friday.
Costs
Your 4 week stay will cost between 1600€ - 1800€ , depending on room option.
There is a 3 week option available also for those who cannot commit, time wise for a longer stay
Your 3 week stay will cost between 1200€ - 1350€, depending on room option.
This includes use of the Art Studio/ Communal Kitchen/ our event-performance- exhibition space,Salon, Library and all the external spaces and a weekly group feast cooked by Nathalie.
Food other than the weekly group feast mentioned above is not included.
*note - Additional charged for materials and kiln firings

Your food and drinks are not included - apart from the once a week feast cooked by Nathalie.

*note you can order what you need in advance to be delivered to The Mill if you want.
*Please note the Kilns available include a 100l electric kiln and a gas-fired raku kiln (chargeable p/firing at cost).

T&Cs:
A 50% deposit will be taken at the time of booking, with the remaining balance to be paid 30 days prior to arrival.
Cancellation Policy: Flexible
100% deposit refund minus 50€ admin fee : 90+ days before arrival date
75% deposit refund: 89 - 60 days prior to arrival date
50% deposit refund & full refund of any balance payment: 59 - 31 days prior to arrival date
Zero refund of deposit and balance payment: 30 - 0 days days prior to arrival date ( if we are able to fill your spot at short notice you will be fully refunded minus 150€ admin fee) :-)
Remaining Balance
The remaining balance payment is to be paid 7 days prior to arrival.
If paid at the time of booking, a full refund of the remaining balance is available up to the day before your retreat start date.
