  • The Mill 7 Route Du Linas, 12100 Saint-Georges-de-Luzençon, Aveyron France (map)

Calling All Creatives!

As part of our Co Living for Creatives Residency programme we are very happy to be collaborating with the co-founder of Rescued Clay, Victor Pedrosa!

Rescued Clay is a creative initiative focused on sustainability in pottery. They are passionate about recycling and repurposing clay to create unique ceramics that are both beautiful and environmentally friendly. Their mission is to promote sustainable practices within the art community and to educate everyone on the importance of ecological responsibility. Through various workshops and collaborative projects, we they aim to inspire artists and communities to embrace sustainability in their craft.

Our August residency, open to all types of creative, will be of particular interest to Potters/ ceramicists and creatives interested in sustainable practises especially those involving wild clay.

During your 3 week stay Victor will be facilitating a couple of workshops, for all resident artists to attend.

The workshops will immerse your in the ancient practice of working with wild clay, exploring the fundamental connection between earth and art, teaching you how to identify, harvest, and process clay from the natural environment.

Join us for a hands-on experience where you'll learn to read the landscape, understand clay properties, and explore traditional processing techniques. Through practical demonstrations and experimentation, you'll discover the rich possibilities that wild clay offers while developing a deeper understanding of sustainable material practices.

This workshop embraces both traditional knowledge and contemporary sustainability principles, aligning with our mission to transform communities through conscious creation. Perfect for both beginners and experienced makers who want to expand their understanding of natural materials.

What you'll experience:

  • Clay identification and sustainable harvesting

  • Traditional processing methods

  • Material testing and experimentation

  • Understanding clay properties and characteristics

  • Exploration of wild clay application
