  • The Mill 7 Route Du Linas, 12100 Saint-Georges-de-Luzençon, Aveyron France (map)

From 1st-8th March 2025, we welcome you to The Mill France to learn the valuable ceramics skill of how to build your own wood-fired kiln. During this course, you’ll be guided through the process by Robin Wilson of Oxford University Kilns.

As part of a team of fellow potters, you will learn the technical knowledge needed in an informal classroom setting and then take part in the kiln building process itself. You will leave fully equipped with the knowledge to build and fire your own Wood Fired kiln..

There will be the minimum of one firing as part of the teaching process, giving all participants the opportunity to fire their own bisqued fired works. This course is a very hands-on collaborative experience led by Dr.Robin Wilson arguably the top UK expert on the ancient traditional technique of Anagama Kiln Building & Firing. We are super excited to have him run this course here in France!
